In our digital age, social media impacts every single one of us. In and of itself, social media is a neutral thing, but all of us would probably agree that it has a powerful effect on us. If we take some time to think about it, we may realize that our personal social media habits actually say a lot about us. Our habits reveal our hearts: our desires, fears, and hopes. The truth is, our hearts heavily influence what we consume, what we produce, and every detail in between (like how much time we spend online, the way we engage, who we follow, etc.). We may not like our social media habits, and we may be tempted to just abandon social media altogether. However, we can miss the heart issue when we do this. Afterall, when it comes to our hearts, it’s a battle of affections.
We believe we can have healthy social media habits. We believe we can be women who steward our platforms online in a way to glorify God. In this episode, we dive deep into the heart issues behind our social media habits, but then we also offer practical application of how we can actually move forward and cultivate healthy habits that seek God, His mission, and His glory!
