On today’s episode, we talk about God’s will. What is God’s will for our lives? How do we figure out His will for our lives? Can we actually know His will? These are questions we often ask when we are faced with big life decisions — college, marriage, family planning, investments, and more. We want to know His will so it can inform the decisions we make. Sometimes, we’ll put out a metaphorical fleece to try to figure it out. Or we’ll flop open the Bible to see if the passage happens to enlighten us. Or we’ll wait and wait until we feel “peace” about a decision. If we don’t get a good read of how God is leading, we may even doubt our faith. Does this uncertainty mean we’re not strong Christians? We work through all of these questions and go to God’s Word to figure out His will for our lives. What we find in His Word are principles that are sufficient to guide our decision making. We also find freedom from fear because we are invited to depend on God’s wisdom. We hope this conversation is helpful as you continue your journey and make decisions every single day to the glory of God.
