On today’s episode, we talk about studying God’s Word in community. Why shouldn’t we just study God’s Word on our own? Isn’t Bible study just a social thing? Or maybe you’re in a particularly busy season in life and Sunday worship is all you can manage. Your thoughts on this topic could involve heavier emotions, too — maybe you’ve been hurt by believers in a small group in the past or you’re just afraid of not knowing enough about the Bible and looking ignorant. We address all of these valid thoughts and share how we’ve been there! And it’s true — engaging with any group of people on a deeper level requires vulnerability, and it’s risky! But we also look at God’s Word and see that it was God’s design for us to grow together in community. We talk about the various different ways studying Scripture together actually deepens our understanding of God, others, and ourselves — it’s necessary and good for us, and we don’t want to miss out!
